About the Founder
Urban Herbals was founded by Amber Lynch, a certified herbalist, holistic nutrition consultant, and board-certified massage therapist.
Amber's life has been infused with plant medicine, alchemy, and the arts since childhood. Born to artist parents who studied astrology, alchemy, and natural ways of living, she eventually chose a similar path. Early on she understood the importance of healthy foods, mindfulness, and respecting the earth. She continues to pave her own way on the road of natural health, dedicating her life’s work and studies to the healing arts.
She had firsthand experience with the healing capabilities of natural medicine while working to heal her own chronic health issues. Her personal success with holistic medicine was the driving force pushing her to learn and share the many ways herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle changes transformed her life for the better. She knew she had found something with the potential to help others as much as it was helping herself.
This brought her to Arizona to further her education. She obtained a degree in Occupational Science specializing in western herbalism and holistic nutrition. Her background in anatomy and physiology from years of massage work provided deeper insights into the workings of the body with the support of plant medicine. Through her journey she developed a deeper connection to the Earth and the magic that is infused in all of us. Her growing understanding of the symbiotic relationship between plants and humans continues to help her hone her skills and intuitions in the realms of herbal medicine and natural health today.
In her studies she developed a passion for formulating and creating medicine. She loves taking the plants through their different processes, extracting the magic that is infused in the medicine she makes. Urban Herbals blossomed from this love of creating and the desire to provide holistic wellness options for the community.
Amber is also the owner and founder of Elite Bodywork, LLC, a mobile massage therapy company offering clinical bodywork to clients in multiple states throughout the country, mainly Southern California and Arizona. She is both licensed and board certified. She began her career in 2006 when she had the opportunity to work as an assistant at the family’s chiropractor. Not long after, she attended the Chicago School of Massage Therapy-Cortiva Institute and completed her schooling in Chicago. Amber specializes in deep tissue, relaxation, sports massage, trigger point, structural support, specific injury work, medical massage, prenatal, child and geriatric massage, and also offers cupping and IASTM.
In addition to founding Urban Herbals, Amber is also the co-founder of SoulShine Elixirs. SoulShine was founded in 2021 alongside herbalist and acupuncturist Angela Sinnett of Magnolia Wellness in Southern California. Combining their knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine, natural health, and their deep respect for Earth's medicine, the two women set out to create a line of herbal medicine that offers healing support on multiple levels.

When Amber is not studying, formulating, or creating she can be found spending time in nature, working out or doing yoga, traveling whenever possible, trying new foods, listening to good music, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with her family and friends as much as she can.
Her husband Tommy is her biggest support and helps her maintain balance while navigating the world of small business ownership. Amber and her husband strive to enjoy life to the fullest! Whether it’s road tripping around the country, laughing with friends, or enjoying the simple things in life, they always try to live in the moment. Most often when they are “out of the office” you can find them relaxing at home with their wild wheaten terrier Jasper, and two cats Joplin and Banksy...and of course a house full of plants.
